HIVE DROP DATABASE Statement

The DROP DATABASE statement is used to drop an existing HIVE database.

Syntax:

DROP DATABASE <databasename>

DROP DATABASE Example

The following HIVE statement deletes a database called "newDBtest":

DROP DATABASE newDBtest;
